The office usually starts flooding towards 9:00 AM. People hang their coats on their hangers, make a cup of coffee, head to their desks and turn on their computers. Once the computer is on, the day has officially started! Towards 9:10 AM, each Account Manager (AM) receives an email that reads “Daily Breakdown”. An AM’s morning routine is set accordingly to the results given from this email. Containing specific statistics of the previous workday, the email includes information about each account, each active publisher, and running campaigns. These results can either be positive or negative news. From this overview, AM’s are immediately made aware of these events. To have a clear understanding of each outcome, it is also essential to have a look at Mapendo’s dashboard, our built “in-house” technology for more details. Once everything is analyzed and understood, only then can an AM take action and make a few adjustments with the campaigns.
How long does it take to do this?
Well, this depends! The main factor that influences the time spent working in the budget. For example, if an AM is in charge of providing an advertiser with 50 conversions a day, one will probably be quicker. Since there are fewer sources, it is easier to push or pause sources to understand which campaign converts better. This would be the method for a CPI campaign. On the other hand, if there are 1,000 conversions to do more time will be needed. For a CPA campaign, it entitles the same factors however, it is very different from firing 50 installs than 50 purchases.
Once this is wrapped up….Moving on with the next part of the day: reading emails! Account managers read all the rest of their emails and prioritize their next tasks.

When their assigned tasks are finished, AM’s move on to the daily management of campaigns. Throughout the day, AM’s optimize and push the campaigns, adjust the allocation of budgets, and are in contact with clients for updates on their campaigns. There is a constant flow of communication and transparency, a skill that Mapendo is known for. Since Mapendo works with clients from all over the world, the timing of these actions can be different due to the time zone of the advertisement. Additionally, the AM’s communicate heavily with the publishers, send optimizations, reports, and updates of the campaigns. By the end of the day, between 18:00–18:30, they start headed home. A well-deserved end of the day.
